Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian after she gave birth to their daughter North, it has been claimed. The 36-year-old rapper asked the reality star to marry him just days after the couple welcomed their first child, The Sun reports. The pair are said to be planning a September wedding in Paris.

NEW dad Kanye West asked Kim Kardashian to marry him just days after she gave birth to their first child. The reality star has accepted his proposal and the pair are planning a wedding in Paris this September. Kanye, 36, has not yet sealed the deal with an engagement ring, but he has splashed out £500,000 on a rare black and tiger-stripe diamond ring.
The rap star gave Kim, 32, the “push present” — a growing phenomenon in the US — to mark the occasion of the birth of daughter North. The couple were holed up in Cedars Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills, California, for four days this week and spent more than £100,000 on medical bills and accommodation.
They have since left for a secret location to start their new life with their child.
No expense was spared on Kim’s hospital stay, in which they rented THREE deluxe suites costing more than £2,500 per night each. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom suites came equipped with flat screen TVs, leather sofas, dining areas, marble bathrooms and personal chefs, who were on call 24/7.
She also made the use of the suite’s beauty salon services, including daily blow dries, manicures and pedicures. And she also enlisted the help of a personal labour coach — known as a doula — at more than £3,000 a day. A source said: “Kanye wasted no money in making sure Kim had the best of everything while she’s in hospital.
“He has spent half a million on a ring as a push present and had it designed months ago in preparation.
“He’s even more in love with her now than ever and they can’t wait to get married.”

Kim gave birth to her first child Saturday 15 June – a month ahead of her due date.
Kim only finialised her divorce from her second husband Kris Humphries earlier this month after a long and bitter legal battle.
Their marriage lasted just 72 days before Kim filed for divorce in October 2011. Kim was also married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 until 2004. If this is true, this will be Kim’s 3rd marriage and Kanye’s first.
